The 2010 trip involved the staff of Curtin University scoping the potential for sustainable development projects to be undertaken in Lakhnu. This first trip laid the foundations for a successful partnership to be established between Curtin University and the local villagers. From 2012 onwards, staff and students have visited Lakhnu to complete collaborative projects and conduct research with the villagers of Lakhnu.
